particle filter level low

Post by citroenc5mad »

Just got this message up on my speedo display, is it safe to use also how long before it needs filled.

Also anyone near Cambridgeshire or is willing to top it up and reset the computer and I will pay for services involved and help where I can.

Regards Dan

It is not a panic, the level indicator is quite generous, needs doing but average miles you should be easy OK for a couple of weeks at least....and I am probable being pessimistic :)

Not up your way but check the Map/Lexia owners thread.

Be good to have some details of your car, so the rest of forum members with same motors/mileage will know if we need to be thinking about topping up.

Also what would happen is I topped it up before telling the ecu I have topped it up.
Would the car stop injecting it.

Also could I perform a full bsi reset and could this reset the ecu???

Cheers. I read somewhere that around 80,000 miles is about the average before a top up is needed. I've a way to go yet. (I average 20 miles a week, except for the odd 1500 mile trip every few months)

Easy be OK for 1k miles I would think, that gives you two weeks. Any garage can top it up (best done on ramps I would think), you can then go to a members place and get the reset done.

No. The PSA group cars don't seem to get on well with generic readers (as I have found out).

Hi Dan I'm in similar position and may be able to help. I have topped up the EOLYS and have been unssucessful to date in resetting the computer. The reason I've not managed to reset the computer is it appears to be u/s and I am searching for a replacement. Yes the low level message pops up on the screen every no and again but I have driven several thousand miles now and the car is fine with no error messages or loss of power. To reset the counter and computer you will need a lexia. Maybe there is someone near you on the forum who has one.

Mine has been on since the problem arose, everytime I start up pops the message.
I have booked her in at a local diesel specialist for Friday @ the cost off £185 for a top up and reset.
I have tried to contact my closest person on here to no avail so bit the bullet, I have really got to get my self a lexia been asking the misses for one for ages now so will have to get my own.
The garage I booked it in with also said it might be a wiring problem of some sort???
Will see what happens Friday when it goes in and when I get her back.

Cheers for the reply's guys
