C8 Cluctch and cambelt

Post by citroenhater »

Hi all,
my neighbour has kindly given me the task of changing his cambelt/w.pump , and clutch change.

I cannot seem to find a guide for changing them on the C8 Citroen. Something like a Haynes manual.?

Does such a thing exist ?

Afternoon, you might find a better approach is to look at the driveline rather than the model of vehicle. The VIN is your clue, it will be VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]**MMMTXXXXXXXX

The asterisks are your model identifier, ie, series of C8. However, the sequence portion labelled "MMM" is the short motor code, like RHR or KFX or UFZ etc... That's the important bit here.

If you can say that you need help with the data for such-and-such a motor, you're on the way to sorted.

RHT is the motor type, it's a 16 valve 2 litre 110 HDi with FAP. The other description for this engine is DW10ATED4.

Warning. It's got an hydraulically tensioned link chain between front and back cams. DO NOT WIND THE MOTOR BACKWARDS. Not a skerrick, only forwards. Lock the flywheel when rattling off the damper pulley.
