Xantia 4030 radio - needs a cage/bracket?

Post by chinkostu »

Managed to aquire a Blaupunkt 4030 to replace the sony aftermarket. All plumbed in and works gravy, even the wheel controls!

However I was under the assumption that when i removed the aftermarket 'flap' surround that there would be mounting points for the stock radio. Instead theres a gap of about 1/2 inch and nowhere to bolt to! so the radio is currently floating

Servicebox isnt helping, but i guess theres an extra bit that bolts to the car and the radio screws into that?

edit: servicebox lists a bracket for the s1 as NFP but it looks HUGE on the picture.

S2 looks like it has a small spacer that seems right =P~

Hey cit, managed to get hold of the bracket (stickys sorting one out and KP was having a look) but i completely forgot about the trim! I'll keep you in mind incase KP hasn't got his to hand, many thanks.

The aux in is a nice touch given the age of them, can't actually fault mine! Nice to have wheel controls too. Also seems to find more stations than the aftermarket unit

Well done! This is very much on my list. Lack of wheel controls and the butt-ugly unit both seriously offend my OCD at the moment!

The blaupunkts also look right in the car, especially the older ones. No flashy lights (well...except the code light!)
