That foam that sits on the firewall and runs under the front of the matt looks like a bugger to get out though!

Don't go there... stuff a fluffy towel up behind it to soak up some of the water, change the towel a few times. Then wedge something in for a couple of days to let air circulate.

It's done...

Well, half done... The Activa is now water tight again. The scuttle has been removed, cleaned and resealed with some black silicon. There's just a little cleaning to do on the bottom of the windscreen tomorrow morning after the sealant on the scuttle has had a chance to cure. Then I'm going to leave that carpet out drying for a week or so.

Annoyingly the scuttle was stuck like sh!t to a blanket all the way along apart from a 3" gap at the passengers side which is where the water must have gotten in. Grand total of the fix has been about 8 quid, it's not an expensive fix, just a time consuming one that's a royal PITA to do!
