Xantia 1.9 d air intake ducting

Post by mirafioriman »

Hi,

The air intake ducting on my 1994 Xantia 1.9 d has flown to bits and fallen off leaving me with a noisy induction roar. It's the one that goes into the bottom of the air filter housing.

Does anyone know if it is still available from Citroen and if so the part number?

Theres half a chance a bit off my 306 will fit.
I'm clearing out the scrap cars tomorrow so I'll see if I can find one.
Not sure if it's present, the same or useable but well worth a look.

If an S1 V6 one fits then I may be able to supply one in due course..

That due course may be a while though...

I've got some flexible metal ducting coming via Amazon which hopefully is the right size to manufacture one. I'll let you know how I get on.

The ducting is different on very early cars and later ones.. there is two types.. early ones simply push on the bottom of the air filter box and has a hose clip on it.. then around 1995/6 they changed the air filter box and i think at the same time the shape of the pipe from air filter to intake pipe angle changed.. but the later change was the addition of the filter box base plate and the lower pipe CLIPPED to the bottom of the filter house.. and the clip was eliminated..
