ZX intercoolers

Post by mrbump »

Hi,
I was wondering about how a front mount cooler can be mounted on the zx (or any other psa with top mount). The inlet manifold has been casted to allow the intercooler to be bolted directly onto it, and the standard intercooler has the same shape in the endtank. Surely to make the connection for a front mount you would need this exact shape at the end of the hose to get the two to match still?
I have read that the xantia has a front mount already (seen them as well but never investigated), does this mean that it uses the same shape manifold inlet nad an adaptor plate?
Does anyone here have a front mounted intercooler that could send me a pic of how it is done?
Cheers

The Xantia uses a different inlet manifold to the ZX, it has a round inlet to allow the hose to fit straight onto it.

will the xantia manifold fit straight onto the zx without fouling the bulkhead or anything?
