Quick how-to question....LHM pipe/union

During the strip down of the V6 I have, and as planned using this as a learning experience...I have a question.

After backing the thread out of the (any) unit and withdrawing it back....I have come across a good number of pipes that are a nightmare to pull out from the socket....stuck fast !

Up till now I have had to grip them quite hard with a few damaged pipes as a result......little wiggles etc fail.

Any tips...is there a little "puller" or trick you use ?

PERCY WHAT SIT Mr Sticky

on pipes that can be rotated after the flare nut is undone this helps free them off,as it breaks the grip on the pipe seal

You need to make sure that you have a 'square' pull on the pipe, too (easier said than done in some cases).
