Vacuum pipe placement

Post by Jaf »

1998 1.9td Xantia. LHD.

I noticed today that there's a block with 4 vacuum pipes off it, 2 pointing downwards and 2 pointing towards the front of the car. The block is bolted to the right of the engine, but to the left of the LHM tank. 1 pipe goes to the back of the engine. Any ideas please where the other 3 should go? The pipes are missing so I have no idea as to length. What's the vacuum pipes for?

Thanks!
Fred, a silver 1998 1.9TD SX Xantia.
Gwin, a white 1994 1.1 AX.

Without a picture I'm not sure however if they are just vacuum pipes into a block there'll be a 'feed' from the vacuum pump itself (I know feed is the wrong word but its easier to visualise it that way) and I suspect one or more of the others will go to an EGR valve if you have it fitted.
