ZX Key Fob

Post by ddahaa »

Whats the normal range on these things? I have to be really close to the car and pointing it through the window for it to operate. It's been like that since I bought the car in the summer (Only came with one) and I thought it was probably just due a new battery but if it is, would it have lasted as long as it is doing?

You can try removing the roof panel and cleaning inside the lens that covers the recievers but it is pretty normal for you to have to be quite close to the car.

Mine works from about 8 feet away, less if I approach the car from an angle where I'l not be "firing" at 90 degrees to the window.
It's one of the toys on my ZX I like the most! Wife says I'm easily entertained.
