Wanted Aerial Amplifer information/location

Hi,

I've just ordered a new aerial to replace the one on my C5 estate. The radio reception is currently very poor, I've checked the aerial behind the head unit and that looks ok. If the aerial doesnt cure the fault, can someone please explain where the amplifier is located?

It's in the base of the aerial, so if you've bought the whole thing, and not just the mast, you'll be replacing the amp anyway.
It's quite common for water to get into the base and stop the amp working, so a fair bet that replacement will solve the problem.

Normally the aerial base board rots----or the earth is bad ---or both. Make sure the earthing connections are very clean.
