How to buy a good Synergie/806?

As title really...........

Leaning towards an earlier >2002 diesel.
Any tips/info please?
Do they all have DMFs (Dual Mass Flywheels)?
Are they reasonably accessible to work on? I heard somewhere that glow plugs are down back of engine??
Any issues with HDi models?
Any other weaknesses/gotchas?

I'm a former engineer/mechanic so I know my way around cars generally, but I'm finding tidy examples thin on the ground down here & would prefer to travel to distant models armed with some specific model tips from you guys.
