It's easy enough, no risk of bricking the BSI - you might end up with working keys though! Plug the lexia in and let it do a global scan. Now go into the BSI, and find key learning. When doing our C4 Picasso, I found it under 'Pack reparation'. Put in the 4 digit confidential code when requested (on a card that was supplied with the car). It will ask you how many keys you want to code - this is the total number, including any that are already coded (you need all the keys you want to be coded, including existing ones). Then just follow the onscreen instructions - put each key in the ignition in turn, and then turn to on till it says coded, then turn off again. Once all coded to the immobiliser, then re-synch any remote locking functions - put the key in, turn on, and press the lock button.

Don't think the dealers price will be much more expensive ;-)

I'd agree on that, a friend lost the main key for a Pug 2008 a few days ago, the dealer said 60 GBP for a new key ... pretty cheap if you ask me, for a brand new car ...

Citroen price varies from £75 - £113 depending on exactly which key, and whether you want it cut or not. Only seem to be remote keys, no plain ones.

As an experiment, maybe, but that's from the China version C5 (not exactly the same as the European/Rest of the world), some electronics supposedly aren't compatible (even the wiring diagrams are somewhat different for both cars)

That's why I showed one that had a picture of the PCB board so it could be compared visually

I've posted this guys details before, he came to my place in the Forest of Dean with his van, fixed me up with a coded key and an un-coded spare key for my first C5 (bought with no keys) for £90 less a 10% pensioner discount. All done from the card code that came with the handbook.

@topic
I think the Mobile guys are the way with keys, as a service (if you find a good one), Auto Electricians are a great service as well and appreciate the provision of a Lexia for them to use..

Programmed the keys without any issues. Didn't take more than 5 min. Still don't understand how the transponder links to the car without being connected to any power source. Just a small piece of silicone thrown randomly in the fob!!

Next thing is to update the BSI firmware or should I leave it for when I service the car and ask the dealer to do it?
