Getting 12v at the plugs? Sorry, your post was a bit vague before, as if you were checking for postheating

had a very similar problem and changing the glow plugs fixed mine - mine were also changed last year to some cheap rubbish.

Hi! The glow plug relay is working fine. I've also had two of the glow plugs out and tested them on the battery and they work fine. The plugs take a while to heat up. They are Denso dg_001 plugs are these correct?
It seems like there are a variety of plugs for this engine.
It will eventually catch and run but it's difficult to start. I have 11v on the plugs. I mentioned earlier that I was not getting any current through the wiring to the plugs. That was a mistake on my part. The fluke I have does not measure down to 12v dc. Cheers

the plugs take very little time to heat - the new ones on mine are white hot within 2 seconds , the old 1 that worked was smoking then red within a few seconds

numbers 3 and 4 area easier to reach its 1 and 2 (behind the fuel pump) that are much harder - I did all 4 of mine today

Hi!

The glow plug light comes on the relay energises and the switch makes.
Got power on the glow plugs. Took two out today and tested them directly on the battery and they look ok.
The plugs are Denso dg-001. Are they the correct plugs for this engine?
The car will start after an age. There is lots of white smoke coming from the engine bay but this clears once the engine heats up. It actually feels quite spritely driving.
Andy ideas? Ta andy

Still reckon glow plugs myself, the white smoke in the engine bay is a clue to you're getting fuel & air so it follows that at least 2 of the plugs must be dodgy IMO (the hard to reach ones get left out of changes so could be older than the easy to reach ones), not to mention an exhaust leak somewhere round the downpipe area (had an old Escort diesel van that did this & you couldn't hear an exhaust blow but it certainly was leaking somewhere as the 'bay used to fill with white, then grey, then black smoke the closer it got to starting!)

Howdy!

Getting closer! Looks like wiring problems.
The chap who had it before tried a temporary fix which I believe has caused more issues.
My question is where does the supply come from to power up 1255 ( fuel cut off solenoid ). It's not in the drawing that someone supplied me with earlier in the thread. It's the solenoid at the hrs of the Bosch fuel pump under the fuel lines to the injectors. Looks like engine management multifunction relay is shot. This in turn supply's the coded anti-start unit.

Thanks

a synergie schematic will not show the circuit of the actual immobiliser workings, as this is were the solenoid is fed from

Hi!

My question is.......the wire that goes to the fuel cut-off solenoid is attached to the solenoid then goes where physically.
Currently it's connected in the the 4 pin connector going to the coded anti start ecu. But the wire going to the anti start is not connected.

Cheers

is the armor removed from the back of the fuel pump, if it is not you cant see the wire attached to the solenoid, as it comes from the immobaliser PCB buried inside the armor
