It has been suggested that I find someone with the Lexia diagnostics to identify why I am getting P0341 fault code "Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance" ?
Living where I do in a remote part of France that is not proving very easy.
I got the error code and diagnosis from using Torque. Not sure just how much better Lexia is and wil I understand how to use it?
I have been looking at the cost of the software and some listings say it works with an OBDII adapter but not 100% sure if that is correct but most come with the special able etc.
I have a friend who is a good mechanic who has always worked on his own vehicles and is a computer/it professional, he says he would help if I get the software.
Any advice on buying, using before I make the leap to buy
cheers

Tried a new sensor? A quick google shows it as the camshaft position sensor. Hows the car running?

Re: Lexia 3 - should I buy it & will I be understand it?
Lexia is night and day compared to a simple code reader. It will give you the codes, but then it will also tell you a whole host of stuff about when the fault occurred, eg engine speed, temp etc. You will also be able to see a whole bunch of real time information. You can also do stuff no simple code reader will do, eg coding keys etc. Getting the software to install can be a bit tricky, but it's not too bad to use.
in your case however, I would get the cambelt covers off and check the cam timing first....

Hi RichardW, thank you again for your help.
Really appreciate the advice on Lexia software option and clearly some inspection work to carry first
Hope to find some time next week to look at the cambelt...
