Xantia Hydractive II button light

Post by AWG »

The centre console button light for the suspension remains unlit until either the button is pushed or the car lights are turned on. In the latter case the button is illuminated faintly until the button is pushed when it is lit brightly in the same manner as when the car lights are not on.
I have looked at another Xantia and the behaviour is the same.
However I understand that the system should go into a test mode at switchon in which case the button is illuminated for a few seconds and then goes out. Can anyone confirm or deny this as I have never seen this occur?
If it wasn't for the electrics cars would be very nearly perfect.

Having had a Xantia VSX from new, the light does not go into test mode, it just illuminates when it is turned on, or glows gently when the exterior lights are on.
If there is a problem with the system then I believe the light does not illuminate even though the system switches over to firm mode.
