engine management light
Hi everyone I am a new member and I am trying to fix my daughters car which is a saxo petrol model 1.4. The engine management light now stays on all the time,but the car runs perfectly hot or cold and starts easily hot or cold. I have been told that a likely cause is the sensor in the cat,has anybody come across this before? It sounds like a relatively easy fix which I could do before resorting to a diagnosis which I am also told does not always highlight the problem,any advice would be appreciated especially by low income daughter!

Re: engine management light
Hi there. What you will need to do is to get it onto a Lexia diagnostics tool. There are members on the forum who have these, and are willing to help. The following post has a list of these members;

Please don't try guesswork. There are any number of reasons for the EML to be lit, and it is possible you could have 2 or more problems.
