xantia v6 performance

i have had this car now for 6 months and i am fed up with is can i make it go faster.

The computer operated ZF HP4 auto box is only good for cruising. So use the gear lever more!
Once the engine is spinning at over 2,500/3,000 rpm, your V6 should fly.

Thanks for the advice seems alot quicker when changing manually, to start with i kept hitting the rev limiter but i have now got used to it.
