I want to add a leisure battery alongside my cranking battery (with a split charge relay) and my engine bay has plenty of empty space in it). I'd love to make use of this, instead of using up space inside the car.
Is there a way I can add an extra battery mount?

That tray looks perfect, but how would I actually attach it in the engine bay?

make a pair of support legs/braces out of alloy and rivet/self tapper them ? (look for suitable bolts/screws already fitted first)kenbw2 wrote:That tray looks perfect, but how would I actually attach it in the engine bay?

Re: [96 Synergie] Add an extra battery in the engine bay
I'd favour nut & bolt rather than self-tap, although the latter would be a good way of setting up the tray & supports temporarily to see how it all fits.
First though, I'd want to sort out the size of battery (physical dimensions) before committing to a particular size tray.
