parasitic battery drain
sorry its me again with my battery problem ,where my battery goes flat whilst parked up over night and seems to happen only on very cold nights .my battery was new 12 months ago and if i disconnect the battery at night it maintains its charge so i know the battery is ok .i have connected a meter in series with the battery and when i first connect to the battery i get a loud click from a solenoid which is located on the drivers side under the cover next to the water header tank ,when i first connect the meter i get a reading of2.8 after 1 1/2 minuets it drops down to0.19 after another 1 minuet it drops to 00.9 and stays there. at the moment the weather is very mild and i would not have a problem till it gets very cold and i will test it then .is 00.9 about right ,my car does very little mileage only very short journeys so doesn't have time to recharge its self .the cars a 2007 c5 hdi thank .

Re: parasitic battery drain
Try disconnecting the alternator and see if there is any current flow to it.
