HI
I noticed fuel leaking from the stop solenoid of my Bosch VE - type fuel pump. I presume in this case I can simply screw it off and change the seal with no need to take the pump apart??
Thanks
Larry

Re: Stop solenoid
Yes, you can Larry, Access is a tadette challenging but possible if your pump is unarmoured. You need a 24mm spanner and you may have to modify it a bit to fit and be fit for purpose...
Under the solenoid you'll find an O ring...
Be cautious when lifting the solenoid body, it's likely the plunger will be left behind and inside the plunger is a small coil spring. Be careful neither get lost.
Use a bit of Vaseline to 'glue' it all together when reassembling...
Be sure any new O ring you might use is certified to be diesel proof. Not all are. Try to get one made of Viton....

Re: Stop solenoid
i would think if you can see the solenoid it will not have the immobiliser amour over it,
also its not usually the O ring at the base that leaks but the internal seal, in this case you will need to replace the complete solenoid
