That was my experience as well.....they wrote it off from the Photos and took it away for the valuation.

If you are sensible with your choices you give them as examples you can push them up a bit.............I also saved a few shekels by switching out the good new battery for the old crap one I had not yet dumped as well as pumping out £40.00 of fuel :)

I took out the leather and put in the old cloth ones which I had been using in the workshop Office as seating .....Now I have Leather electric seats in my Office........I also switched the Radio out for a broken one

I taxed it the day before, so I lost a month, I CHARGED them for that as well (I have a Tax Disk for a C5 that expire on 08-15 !.....the LAST Month ISSUED/VALID too)

I know.......I'm a DINGLE

It had a brand new battery in it which has found its way into my daughters Astra, it had 1/4 tank of diesel which I have used some of it as the car is still drivable, its on the minimum mark now, computer saying 45 miles to go. I have a 20 mile return journey on Sunday so I will use it, I'm thinking of removing the genuine citroen towbar and wiring kit, and debating seeing my tyre man to see if he has any just legal tyres to put on and take off the nearly new tyres on it, but probably wont as I may buy it back depending on the numbers. The towbar would maybe be of use to myself, only if I buy another c5. However the only time I have used it is transporting a car on a trailer for my sons friend so not really worried about having it. Everything that can move is removed from it including the genuine citroen rubber mats!

I managed to get my tax disc (£250 a year so worth it) and the USB Box (now fitted in my current VTS) so I did ok. I also saw my old car advertised on ebay having been repaired & sold him the spare key & fully stamped service book!
