Just a thought.
Why not disconnect the battery then reconnect but do not input the radio code - will that take you back to a state of no battery drain? No music but no recharging either?

Who's Humppffff? :-D :rofl2:

Yes, I'm afraid we do seem to have 2 threads in 1 going on here - confusing but not unusaul :-D . Hopefully your new positive lead will sort your starting issue, and hopefully Superloopy is tracking his battery drain down to radio antics and avoiding V6 Armageddon.

Happy New Year

For what it's worth I have just sorted a similar starting problem. Mine turned out to be the starter motor itself. I replaced the battery positive connection and the glow plug controller first. Looking at the wiring diagram my next steps would have been to replace one of the coolant sensors by the thermostat (it's part of the starting system, attached to the glow plug controller) then to change the wires between the battery and starter motor. If I got to there with no joy I would have done the relay modification.
