Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
What you refer to as the 'master cylinder' is the doseur valve Chetiya.
Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
that is the doseur valve,Chetiya Dias wrote:Because this problem occurred only after I replaced the seals of the brake master cylinder.
so you have probably caused the issue

Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
Did you replace the seals with normal rubber ones, or with LHM resistant ones. If you used rubber seals the LHM will have rotted them in short order.

No I replaced with genuine seals. Malcolm please advice me how to sort this issue. Also there are no external leaks after replacing the seals.

Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
I'd agree the dosuer seals are the cause of this issue...
Try another rebuild with a new set of genuine seals. Or else swap the dosuer for another known good one. They’re not heavy so if you don't have one available locally I'm sure it would not be too expensive or difficult to send you one......

Not me I'm afraid, I have none and I trust others to refurbish hydraulics... I'm not good enough to do that... Sorry.Chetiya Dias wrote:Jim is it possible for you to post me a good refurbished dosuer.

Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
What do you recommend to replace the seals again and see or replace the dosuer at once.

Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
You will probably have great difficulty finding a replacement. They are no longer produced and second hand ones are not easy to come by. There was someone from JCB on here not long ago looking for them as they are fitted in some JCB earth movers that have hydropneumatic suspension.

Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
Also I noticed froth in the filter of the LHM tank when presing the brake pedal. Is this normal.

Re: Xantia front regulator ticks
I checked the front anti sink valve under the LHM tank and I noticed it was little wet with oil. So I replaced it with a second hand unit. Now ticking increases over one minute and when pressing the brake pedal it reduces to 15 secs and there after it keeps on increasing to over one minute. The stop light also goes off quickly. Is this OK.

Hi Chetiya.....Happy New Year to you and Sri Lanka
It is the Holiday season at the moment and often the guys are under "orders" from the lady of the house ...and they must be obedient at this time of the year
Your problem will take some working out and there are only a few to assist with the required skills......
no need to remind them/push them to answer, they will reply when they can.....
