Although I rarely participate in such discussions, it's hard to say whether Simon or Mike are right on this one ... if you want to take it to the extremes, the F1 car drives through corners with 3,0 G lateral ... BUT ... that car is specifically made to do so ... comparing the Impreza and Xantia is somewhat like comparing a Range Rover and an Audi Q7 in terms of offroad ability ... one is an off-road vehicle, the other a wannabe one ... failing to do so ... but the Audi looks much nicer covered in dirt and gravel ... :D ... anyways, if you'd consider the Xantia Activa, and that it was a family car (more or less) compared to the Impreza STi which is basically a street race car beast tamed for the road ... there's hardly any discussion left ... also, the prices of each when they were new were hardly in the same category ...

Hi again.
Thanks for everyone for your toughts and advices.
I am based in Boston,Lincolnshire.
I wake up this morning and found about 1 litre of LHM under the car, under nearside back wheel, not very happy about this...
I am thinking of doing complete new plumbing for it if i keep it. I got garrage at home with little workshop so will be happy to spend the time in garrage if wife will let me go

Also from other side, i would like to see what offers you could make for a car, i will get some pictures posted later :)

Sounds like the rear ram has a hefty leak. More likely a split return collar. It's fixable. See my website http://www.eastment.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for guidance...

If this had come up a couple of months ago I would have been very tempted even in lhd.

I would confidently say the lurkers are already making (low) offers. Some people are like that.

My understanding of the LHD shells, is the doseur doesn't leak into the cabin. Big win there.

Please don't sell it until you have got her fully sorted out. That way you get to experience what she is like at her best. That way you have a much better idea of what she is like to drive, and then whether to keep her (VERY likely) or sell her on (not a CHANCE!). You can already see that there are lots of forum members willing to offer advise and assistance, and (if you DO decide to sell her) to give her a good home. Just to give you an idea about Activa owners, most of them are putting them to bed for the winter, so that the road salt spread in icy conditions does not get a chance to give them rust.
