Xantia II rear brakes, imbalance corrosion and, pipe leak,

Post by John Plum »

Yes I'm very pleased myself, I was calm about it all, like someone after a hard fought, well planned war, fought outside with Winter looming, and ground turning to mud in narrow lanes. Supplies were tricky, but patience and strong resolve with time for relaxation not worry when not busy... And grateful after all for clement weather as regards temperature, it could have been far colder. :-)

I meant cill but spellcheck changed it. It was going on the outer cill on one side front and back. Why I don't know, but mud flaps may have contributed on forward end and all the bits around leading to the fuel tank. Probably lack of effort to keep it clear by previous.

No, I don't mean the top of cill in door frame.
John

Ps heck, I write 'c i l l' and it appears just so on my draught but, when I press submit I see Sill. That's Silly.

I was always under the belief that sill is the correct spelling when referring to those pieces of metal below the door-line of a car...

The Oxford dictionary believes it is so too...
Sill

noun

1. A shelf or slab of stone, wood, or metal at the foot of a window opening or doorway.
So your spell checker is not being silly John!

No! I've stumbled upon something weird . BBEdit is doing the correction without informing me when I post from my phone.

It can't be a matter of belief only. That's a good dictionary. I believe you.
