Calling C5 X7 (Series 2) Owners HELP please

Post by citroenxm »

Hi X7 owners

Can any of you please tell me, is there Eolys Fluid fitted to 2.0 16v HDi 138 models 2008 year??? IS there a tank to top up???

We have one in the family now, but the anti pollution warning popped up and put the management light on BUT did not limit power or revs...

Id like to check it anyway, and top it up if it does. Its been a city car so I think a few runs on our open road might clear it up!

Thanks.

Fist job is yes, 70 in 4th for 15 mins should help :), did the warning say anything ?

My new one had a DePop fault showing before I got it, it was the pump pressure regulator. SO NOT always a FAP problem.

You will need to get it on a Lexia to check the cause of the problem (not just a basic code reader, the Citroen type)

Ok Sticky, we have a lexia so that will be a to do and see what exactley we have. did not have chance to put it on today..

All it did was put the engine management light on and said Anti Pollution Fault... and that was all. But engine light stayed on..

I shall come back here once I know what LExia tells me...

Cheers

Re: Calling C5 X7 (Series 2) Owners HELP more issues

Post by citroenxm »

Hi...

Ok, depollution issue never came on again, and I never got round to seeing where the tank is....

Anyway, I have a far bigger problem.. Randomly, the car will simply cut out on driving, doesnt matter if its over run, slight accelleration, hard, cruiseing what ever...

It is infact a danerious issue, because the car wont start again, untill you, well they, actually pull over and stop and try again.

Lexia tells my theres apparently a power loss momenterally to the "Engine Relay Unit".. .. the car does start again after pulling over and starting. But the cutting out is random, AND at any speed. They want to go away but are worried it happens on the outside lane of the motorway or something.

Have wiring diagrams been issued for these X7s yet? Anyone got any.. OR does anyone know where the Relay unit is???

Thanks!

I believe there was a recall for a faulty oil level sensor reading which would cause some cars to cut out randomly. Might be worth checking on the recalls website to see if your one was affected ?

I think only the dealers have access to the ECU updates via the official PSA repair network (unless you know of a mechanic in the network that would do that for you without the Service) ...

Might be worth checking with the dealers to see if it's ever been updated (if it needs it that is !), as if it does need updating, but hasn't been done yet, I'd be pushing for the dealer to do it at their (Citroen's) cost as it's a safety / recall related item.
