C5 ticking

Post by akyrillou3125 »

Hi guys I have a 2005 citroen c5 design estate. Since january I have been having a funny tick coming from the front passenger side wheel. I have had the cv joints checked the suspension seems fine so I am stumped to know what it is. The ticking only happens if I am on hard lock right and at pulling away speed. Somwtines the tick doesnt even happen sometimes all the time any ideas guys? I thought maybe something wrong with the hub. My esp warning comes on every few thousand miles intermitently is this related perhaps? Any help is always appreciated.
Thanks

I had a similar problem on drivers side although it was a severe knocking and happened all the time. Turns out it was the guide bracket for the handbrake cable on top of the hub had moved slightly and was then hitting one of the weights on the inside rim of my wheel. Pushed the bracket back a bit, job done and not happened since.
If it is also only happening on hard lock right then check the wheel arch liner, they can come a bit loose.
