Lexia worked first time - I think!!

Not a deadlocking problem as such but having got the system from Citroen Service it appears everything (alarm, plip, locking, interior lights) goes through the deadlocking ecu beside the handbrake. I just wondered if there were faults in the ecu would these stop the plip working, and if said faults were cleared would the plip work? I still can't get the Lexia to read this ecu.
