window regulator

Post by deano1970 »

hi,
ok,posting this in citroen as well as renault cos response is always good in citroen.......got a scenic and the passenger window doesn't work.I took the regulator out and the clip was broken.got a new clip and struggled for about 5 weeks whenever I had time, to try and get it back together...anyway, I have managed to do it this morning but everything is really tight, what I want to know is, is that how it should be?? for instance, should I be able to slide the clip up and down the runner? cos I can't..it won't move anywhere.......I am waiting on a temic replacement motor before I can try it but am just trying to find out if this is how it should be?? thanks........

When I fitted a new clip to the Xantia I found the same thing. It was difficult to get the clip to slide. I found that it worked ok when it was back together. I used a plastic safe silicon spray.
