Citroen Multicity Connect question

Post by Muppetboy »

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a mobile as a modem so that the in-car Multicity Connect can be used to connect to the Internet without the need to purchase the "dongle" which as far as I'm aware, costs around £299 for one year, which imho is rather extortionate? Or is there no alternative except the official route? Not that I'm overly bothered as I have my mobile anyway. Just a question to see if anyone here has used Multicity Connect without the USB dongle and used another (legal) method.

Many thanks for any answers.

Disregard my question. I've heard that the Multi city Connect internet is not all that' it's cracked up to be. Apparently quite slow. Seems that all the other wealth of features is something you'll find for free on mobiles and tablets. I think Citroen need to rethink this option as it's very expensive. Just my opion anyway. :)
