Hi, just bought track rod ends for my S1 ........I went for " budget" ! priced, maybe a mistake ? anyone used budgets? cheers Terry.

i have just bought a pair of Veco TRE from GSF for a customers Pissscassssooooo, £5 quid ish each instead of 9 quid ish each,

they sell these as there budget variety, i find Veco stuff ok

They're not hard to change terry so if they last a shorter time than normal then no worries! Also corrosion won't have had time to get to work on the threads..

How's that for a positive bit of spin doctoring? :)

Not had any problems with budget track rod ends but drop links - that's something else. :x

I'm reasonably sold on trying odd branded stuff, have to take it on a case-by-case basis though.

I have just replaced the drop links on my 406 for the third time, this time I used Delphi, they were not all that much dearer than the previous ones - we will see how long they last!
