Hi everyone!
I have a Citroen Xsara Picasso with an after market stereo. The stereo was supplied by HalFRAUDS, who, in true style, have botched the job, so I'm having to put right a lot of the stuff myself (simply because I can't be bothered going back to them).
Anyway, they wired my stereo into a "spare" socket in my fuse box. The stereo works but does not stay on when key is in the accessory position. I am living with it for now but in the future I'd like to have a go at fixing it. Reading around on the internet I have learnt that I can take a tap off the +ve terminal of the cigarette lighter socket and wire this to the stereo. My question is, however - how do I get the centre console off to access the cigarette lighter socket? I have managed to pry off part of the lower panel (passenger side footwell) - I needed to do this because I have a DAB antenna that needed mounting, and this was the best way to get the wire out! But where do I go from there?
Centre Console Access - any thoughts?
