Citroen Relay Fuel leak

Post by macaroo »

Hi I own a Relay 1100TD 2.0 HDI. on an 05 plate It developed a slight fuel leak so i had it repaired, they said the seals were leaking near the pump. It was fine for a couple of days until the engine management light came on and I lost all power. Fuel was really poring out this time. It went back in for repair and they replaced the seals again but these blew almost immediately . They have come to the conclusion that the fuel pump is faulty and have advised on a new one. Does this seem right and how much should I expect to pay?

do you know were exactly the pump is leaking ( front, back or middle joint????? ),

i know nout about these pumps but is it possible whoever replaced the seals damaged/cracked the unit ( regulator ) on the rear of the pump,
so it now cant retain the fuel pressure/seals,

if this is damaged here is price and part No. for that
