I have a Citroen picasso 1.6l 2006 cannot find location of cam sensor

According to Haynes, if it's a HDI then the sensor is behind the camshaft sprocket so you will need to remove the upper timing belt cover to find it. There's no mention of a camshaft sensor for the petrol engine!

On the 2.0 HDI it is fitted through a hole in the back of the top belt cover and held with a small screw.
