Heater stuck on hot!

Post by Pete-2006dispatch »

My 2006 Citroen dispatch has developed a problem that means I have to drive with the windows open all the time! Unlike most posts about the heater not working, my problem is the opposite. It works too well! Not very nice when heading down the motorway with the windows open!! Any ideas what the problem could be and how I could fix it? The temperature setting is set to the blue end but it is still blowing hot air, even when I turn the air con on it still blows hot air. Help please!!

Not sure what sort of system you have in that but if its got climate control it probably the air flap motor, if it hasn't likely a cable come disconnected.

Thanks for the reply peter. Is the air flap motor located behind the dash in the cabin or in the engine bay?? Thanks

I think its behind the dash - that's where it is on the C5 anyway.

Access to the flap motors is through the glove box.
