C4 2.0 HDI Fault Code P2670

Post by ds21h »

Hi, I have a 2006 C4 2.0 HDI that is difficult to start or will not start at all, and when it does start it will not go above 3000 rpm and the MIL light is displayed.

It has been to the Citroen Garage and they have come up with the Fault Code P2670 which according to the data sheet means a low voltage of 3.440 volts at Sensor number 1.

Either the sensor is playing up or there is a problem with the wiring I have been informed.

Can anyone tell me where this sensor is please, is it the one below the fuel rail at the front of the engine or am I completely wrong, and is there a name for it other than Sensor 1 so I can order one if necessary.

Many thanks
mark

I had a bit of a scout around the net, and it appears to be a somewhat generic code for the 5V control signal from the ECU to various sensors is reading low. Now this could mean a sensor is pulling the voltage down, or it could be a chafed wire somewhere shorting out. Suggestions included unplugging each sensor to see if the fault code / voltage changes, and after that start looking for duff wires. Not sounding like it's going to cheap or easy, sadly... :(

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I have already posted on the C4 Owners forum but no joy there.

yes I guess it is a case of removing each sensor and testing it and at the same time following all the wires looking for a broken or damaged one.

I was just hoping someone knew where the Sensor number 1 was so I could start with that.

Regards

@ Mark - I'm guessing you wanted to display your list of cars like the two members before you in the messages, but it is not a part of the message, rather a signature ... :) ... you can access it via this link (http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/u ... =signature" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
