C5 mk1 wont start

Hi all

Its a hdi 2.2

Jumped in car this morning and starter motor turn but nothing happened.

So thought strange.

Tried again then eventually engine imboliser fault appeared.

Any help please
C5 2.2 HDI Estate mk1 (With a anti theft fury dice device)

1. Check battery and connections
