C5 Heater Resistor

Post by StevieOMG »

Can anyone please tell me the location of this on a series 1 LX model. I have searched the forums and some tell me passenger side and some drivers side. I have changed the pollen filter and that was a task and a half to find. Blower only works on no 4 so assume resistor and have obtained a new one. Thanks in advance. Like wise any instructions on changing would be appreciated.

Drivers side and Passengers side are both subjective terms and depend on where you live.
I'd bet if you look at the locations of the posters all will become clear.
A French contributor (HAHA!!) will describe the left side of his car as the Drivers side and everything, other than the controls and instruments, found on his drivers side will be found on the Passengers side of a UK/Irish/Oz one!

Mine has climate control and the resistor is on the drivers (right hand drive) side to the left of the clutch pedal held in place by 2 screws.

I would have thought standard aircon would still be in the same place.

Probably too late as this is 2 weeks old but the LX heater fan resistor (if it does not have climate control) is in the left hand foot well (i believe under the pollen filter)- climate control units are in the right hand foot well
