VSX RIP

Post by Old-Guy »

The Green Lady is back on the road just in time; for the last week or two I've been handling the VSX's driver's door with great care - the welded reapir to the bottom hinge has parted company with the A-pillar. On Sunday when I sat her on axle stands under the front jacking points there was an ominous crunch from the O/S/F sill. When I plated it for the MoT last June, I knew all 3 layers were pretty rotten. Sadly, the rotten body isn't worth repairing particularly as she's worth more in spares than anyone would pay for her as a runner even with a new MoT. A great shame, but I'll be taking off anything worth saving (or anyone wants) before the rest gets weighed in.

Well, as you said, just in time - lucky there Old-Guy. Hope the Green Lady doesn't play up too much, or go into a sulk - well done :)

If you were closer, I'd come and take the whole A/C system off your hands - all the forum breakers seem to be over the wrong side of the country though! :(

Might the fact that the A/C compressor is fairly new change your mind? I can probably find the invoice.....
