Hi all, managed to get old turbo off and new turbo ready to fit, one problem the Turbo oil feed union out of the old turbo had been cross threaded and i don't want to risk using it , the new one didn't come with one , they say its a Citroen part , bought a new lube pipe from Citroen hoping it comes with a union and guess what,, nope, Citroen say its a garret part. After what seems like a million phone calls still no joy , anyone got any ideas? Citroen are blaming garret and garret are blaming Citroen ?????
thanks in advance
Damien

Have contacted loads they will only sell it with a complete turbo.
I have been intouch with citroen france, awaiting a reply on monday, it would seem my car being 12 years old is parts obsolete? the part is definately a citroen item not a garret item as the union is engine specific not turbo specific, as in, its bore is different to reduce or keep oil pressure to the turbo.
last resort if no go from france is to have one machined
what a farce....

Any engineering shop worthy of the name should be able to knock that up.
The only potential difficulty might be identifying the thread, given the fact your only sample has been crossed and the thread is presumably damaged.
I'd be fairly confident they'll still get it right, unless yours is really marmalised...?
