C3 2011 High Level Brake Light leak

Post by niggly55 »

My wife's 2011 C3, 5 door hatchback has developed an odd problem. When using the rear wash, liquid runs inside the car onto the rear parcel shelf. Investigation has revealed the lamp lens is cracked around the water jet outlet. It is this cracking (possibly caused by frost??) that is allowing water into the car. My question is- how do I get the lamp assembly out? It does not have the spring latches inside the rubber bunged access holes that the earlier car had. Any ideas gratefully received!

Rather unhelpfully, Citroen DocBackup merely says you should unclip the rear third brake light through the two access holes you mention, then further unclip it from the outside of the car. You might have to wait until someone comes along who knows the car better or who has done the job themselves :|
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(
