Saxo relay clicking

Post by isisalar »

Recently replaced, with a used one, the indicator stalk on the Saxo, mainly to get the horn working but it did also cure clicking from a relay connected with the indicators. If the stalk is moved slightly the relay stops rapidly clicking. Was in the car last night and the clicking is back with a vengence. Sounds like the relay is under the glovebox somewhere.
It was a bit of a fight to change the stalk so it's not something I'd like to repeat if I can avoid it. Would a dose of contact cleaner on the stalk likely help things, or is it worthwhile changing the relay?
Cheers

sorry but it is usually the stalk,

i think GSF sell new stalks ( no not the type that stand on one leg, or deliver babies   :-D  )

you could try electrical contact/switch cleaner before you replace it again,

but dont use that orible W stuff
