It's a long pipe - even the NS (which is shorter due to the location of the splitter) is 1.9m. Think I paid about £20 from Plaeides for that pipe. Kunifer is much easier to fit than steel!! Albeit you have to drill off the clamp and bolt it onto the new one.

Perhaps Martin at Pleiades can make some up for less?

Well, this isn't looking good... time for it to go I think. Like I said, surgery end of next week, me out of car fiddling action for a while... Pleiades won't even have pipe in until the end of next week.

Anyone want to save it before I make a call to have it gone away?

I agree, but such is life. Can't have it sat around doing nothing when I'll need to get about, have no space to keep it in if I buy something else (as I already have the 3 wheeler parked up in the garden!)

I can certainly appreciate the lack of space problem - where we're staying at the moment I have one small section of pavement to park one car on, no drive way, no garage, no nothing. I couldn't physically own a second car at the moment, even temporarily while selling this one as there is nowhere it could park.

Surely there must be someone in your area that will take it ? C'mon people...!

I have two spaces, one for the Berlingo, one for <whatever>. I've talked the neighbours into letting me keep the DRK in the garden (shared grass between us and next door at the front). So, if I had a.n. other vehicle to tide me over for six week, or whatever while I recover, then the Xantia would have to park somewhere else, in space I don't have. I can't really use the 3-wheeler for transport as being out in the cold is quite aggravating for a sore forehead/nose combo.

I wish I could help, but there is only space for 2 cars on my landlords' driveway, and I and the other tenant are already using them.

Woo-hoo, pipe located, ordered with ends and seals.(Malcolm Lockwood, helpful chap!) Will arrive on Wednesday. Enough to do both sides :-) A trip to Citronut Malcolm's on Monday and all should be well.

Will also have the new accumulator from RichardW to fit. Was going to change LHM, but no need.

Now all that's needed is to sort the rear window electrics out, and we're away :-) Set of brake pads perhaps on the front, they looked a little low on the MOT ramp.

I have my fingers crossed, not just for the Xantia but for your medical appointment as well.

I've been pondering this one much of the night. Mostly due to an horrible migraine (just fading now). Grateful it's not something requiring surgery like yours.

Work's going to be fun, half asleep.

I don't have a space issue if the car is fixed and I can use it. If I can't use it, and have to get something else for 4-6 weeks, then I will have a space issue if I keep the Xantia. I have 3 cars and two spaces as it is.. 4 cars and two spaces doesn't' work. I'll only be crocked for a few days, 48 hours I think they said. Then I have to have a 4 weeks off work and take care of my head and don't overdo it - which means I can drive, but not so far, and certainly can't go crawling around under it. Missus needs the Berlingo every day, so I'm either housebound, fix the Xantia before hospital, or get something that goes and is road legal before the op.

Mike, I am now booked off sick until 3rd April. If need be, and if you are willing to risk it, I could drive you and your V6 down to Malcolm, and (as it is an automatic) it shouldn't cause my arm too much grief.

EDIT; If it would also help, I have a half can of Plus Gas to lay the groundwork for Malcolm. Don't worry if you use it all up, I have a fresh can for contingencies!
