Paul, you might want to ask isisalar. I think he used to work in windscreens.

Ford have a very sticky pad to fix rearview mirrors to the screen, better than any other you can buy.

Drop into your local windscreen fitting place, they will put them on for you for about £5, i think they charged me £3 at autoglass a couple of months back when i took the Merc in, not worth piddling about yourself for that money.

Service Citroen is awesome, it shows me pictures of all the parts i used to be able to buy............

For a DIY job the best I have found is the Loctite one with a fine mesh pad, which activates the adhesive, this one :- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Interior-Rear-V ... B004ROTY6G" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I have known sticky pads to work, but they usually fall off. In either case the surfaces must be ultra clean, I always rub down the metal fixing bracket to bare metal with fine sandpaper (can't get cleaner than that), and clean the screen with meths.
Stuff sets in about 20 secs IIRC.
DO NOT USE SUPERGLUE !!!!!
