Hi all,
I'm going to have to change the radius arm bearings on my C5 with hydroactive 3+ (I believe that's what it's called on the mk1 c5's when there is a sport button?)
I'm fairly happy with the actual changing of the bearings but I can't seem to find an answer to:
how do I depressure the system safely without the use of a lexia?
- Can I just put it on low with the engine running for 15 mins and that will be enough?
- do I crank the car up high, put it on stands, unclip the ride height sensor link (so it thinks it's still high) then put it on low with the engine running for 15 so it tries really hard to go low?
- Is there a bolt on an accumulator to undoo anywhere like on the xantia?

Re: C5 radius arm bearings
You need to put it on high to lift the body, once its up and jacked set the suspension to its lowest and you shouldn't have any trouble with pressure.
You can remover the outer part of the bearing by running a ring of weld metal round the inside, when it cools the bearing will shrink sufficiently to lever out with a couple of screwdrivers.
