C4 directional headlights *Fixed - I hope!*

Post by 2smv627 »

Hi, just wondered if anyone has come across a fault where one of the lights doesn`t turn?
When you first start off with lights on the left one turns but not the right and then the fault flags up on the display and dipped warning flashes. I had the front off the other day, to replace the fan and condenser, and had a look inside the light - all looked Ok although the bulb is a little dimmer to the other one.
I will check the sensors this week but I would have thought both lights would / wouldn`t work and then flag fault.
Thanks

There is a chap who has one forsale in the sales section, he covers it on his blog on here too! Quite common from what it sounds, (I read through his blog last week)
Sadly, can't remember his forum name.....

Not sure this is common. Usually the fault is the self leveling sensor on the rear beam which makes the lights sit on their lowest setting. I have had (& fixed) 2 cars with this problem. Never had a problem with the look around corners function. (crosses fingers)

Hi, just to say I think this is now sorted, after few searches I found this : http://c4owners.org/plugins/forum/forum ... 23646.last" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I didn`t take the light out just manged to get my hand in there and wiggle it about and hey presto it seems to be working!
