C8 Depollution System Fault

Can anybody help please..... I was out and about yesterday, got about a mile from home and the Depollution System Fault appeared on screen, the car went into a bit of a limp mode. I've checked again this morning and the fault still appears. I've had a search around on the internet and a few forums mention the diesel cooling radiator under the car on the passenger side or the DPS Sensor. I hope this can be a quick cheap fix....... has anybody got some good advice please????? Was driving yesterday on a few country lanes going through puddles etc so something underneath may have got wet which has caused this fault to trigger. Car has covered just under 122000 miles. Update.... I've been out for a quick drive this morning and the car is running fine but the fault is still showing. Any ideas?

No choice but to get it on a diag computer I'm afraid. The fault could be any one of about 20 things. Have a look in this thread, there may be someone local to you can put a Lexia on it: http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 19&t=29178" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

On our C4 Picasso, the light stays on, event though the fault has cleared.

Richard, Thank you I was afraid a lexia would be needed!!! m300td is near me so I will contact him now and hopefully he can help

Well out and about this afternoon and the fault has magically disappeared!!! Fingers crossed they don't reappear any time soon
