fed up with 2002 c5 hdi wipers come on on there own lights come on on there own radiator fans come on when engine is cold water temp read's hot and stop sighing comes on speedo and rev counter both started to read low ie 40 reads 20 when ignition is turned of both pointers go past zero and rev counter reads zero at tick over other than that its been a very good car

Have you investigated the Comms 2000 unit as advised in your C5 lights thread?

sorry but wot is the comms unit where is it fitted and wat does it do is it a part that i can get of a scrap car and fit with out problems thanks .

It was mentioned on the last reply to your "lights C5" thread, but if you put "comms 2000" in the search box, you will find some information from previous posters who have had similar problems.
The lights and wipers coming on randomly, sounds like a typical comms fault. You would need to check/replace this before exploring further. I believe there are recon units available but I have no idea how to swop them. There should be more info from the "search".

There are also people who repair them. I believe that Northern_Mike has good experience of one.

thanks for info on comms 2000 unit is it ok to replace it with one from breakers is it a strait swap or dose it have to be put on dealers computer

Not too sure about the swap, but if you get it from a breakers you could be buying someone else's trouble unless there is a warranty of some kind.
