Citroen Breakers

Post by gradeafailure »

I don't know if anyone else thinks this is a good idea or not, but what about compiling a list of Citroen breakers around the country? If anyone knows of one near them, list their name, location and phone number? Just an idea, as I don't think I have one near me and would find it very helpful to know where there are any!

Theres a good one in Alsager behind the Citroen Dealership, I think the dealers is called Odlums and the Breakers is run by a relative, very good Citroen availability and knowledge, cant find the phone number though.

M&M in Holmfirth have always been good for me, also Edwards in Essex at www.edwardsandson.co.uk are Ok. In N yorks Maurice at Deepdale service station has loads of Bxs ( including 3 or 4 of mine) that he will sell parts from at reasonable prices

There's a chap I know of who breaks C5's and Xantias.
Contact via this forum - id is Blueboy [:D][;)]
Seriously, don't forget that SOME parts are interchangable with Peugeots !
I would hazzard a guess that things like central locking controllers would be the same, anyone ?

In Bedfordshire I always use A5 Salvage (on the A5, funnily enough, outside Dunstable) who specialise in French cars. They've got a large barn full of parts already taken out and plenty of other cars awaiting stripping. Quite a few of them are accident damaged, so it's always a treat spotting T-boned 106s.

Someone told me recently that the breakers behind Odlums in Alsager was no longer, which is a pity as it's just down the road from me.

There's also the place in Lancing, Sussex, that they always mention in "Car Mechanics" mag- this is the one they used for their XM project car a couple of years ago. Their ad in the mag showed a photo of a yard stuffed full of cits and pugs-I don't know the address, though.
