xsara picasso hesitant when started from cold

Hi guys. Just joined forum.

I have a xsara picasso 1.8sx on 2002 plate. The problem I am having is when I start it from being cold. It hesitates when I touch throttle almost to point of stalling if I drive it. If I give a few good blips of throttle it seems to clear it and itll run normally. Run fine when warm. So far have changed the coil. Also had the exhaust manifold off and checked. Got no fault codes.

Ajyone have any ideas what else it could be.

Worth checking the parameters before you start the car, ie coolant temp, if this is reading incorrectly, could cause the starting issue, but no fault codes.

I cannot oull the live data. Can read revs live from yhe car but no other sensors. But thanks you for yout suggestion. This is something I was thinking as it uses the temp sensor for the electronic autochoke. Think I may change it just as a course of action.

What are you using to interrogate the car, and where are you? You need a Lexia really, and this should give heaps of live data - there are a number of people here got one, so if you post up where you are, someone might be able to help.

Well thought I had solved it but no. Ive had throttle body off. Cleaned it all. Idle control stepper been cleaned and block egr. But did it again today. So I not sure. Engine sounds as though its got a rattley sound at certain revs. But only under load. Never when just revving engine. May just change the tep sensot. Although its giving reading on dash.
